It is the perfect chance to see your baby and his/ her little heartbeat for the first time.  If you're over 10 weeks along you can also hear your baby's heartbeat. We do not listen to the heartbeat while the cells are rapidly developing, by 10 weeks gestational age the organs have formed, and it is safe to hear the heartbeat with doppler.

If you are less than 8 weeks and we cannot see the baby abdominally, we have the option to perform a vaginal ultrasound.

 

The Sneak Peek clinical package includes a quick ultrasound to assure you are approximately 8 weeks pregnant. If so, we can perform an in office blood test at this time.
